In short

Venci solid wood doors are made in oak, wenge, mahogany, walnut or teak. Solid wood gives weight, good sound insulation and a surface that can be sanded and renewed over many years.

We build doors in solid wood. For exterior doors we work with oak, wenge, mahogany, walnut and teak, and we build interior doors as complete solid wood doors. The species is the most important decision, because it determines colour, grain, weight and how the door ages.

Oak

Oak is hard, robust and has a distinct, calm grain. It is a classic species for doors that suits both modern and older homes, and it can be finished in anything from light to deep tones.

Wenge

Wenge is dark and heavy, with fine, dense grain and a striking, graphic expression. It is the choice when the door should stand as a clear line in the room.

Mahogany

Mahogany has an even, calm grain and is a classic wood in fine joinery. Its smooth surface makes the door pleasant to touch.

Walnut

Walnut has a lively, elegant grain in brown tones that varies from door to door. Every door gains its own character.

Teak

Teak is a naturally oily wood with a long tradition in furniture and outdoor joinery.

The whole door in solid wood

Our interior doors can be built as complete solid wood doors, not just a wooden face on another core. That gives weight, calm and a door that can last for many years.

Surface and care

The door can be natural, oiled, lacquered or stained in a muted tone. We give you care instructions for the finish you choose.

Questions and answers

Why choose a solid wood door?

It is heavy and solid, dampens sound well and can be sanded and refinished, so it lasts for generations.

Which wood species is the most durable?

Oak and teak are very hard-wearing. The choice depends on expression, use and whether the door is inside or outside.

Does solid wood warp?

We use dried timber and constructions that prevent the door from warping.
