In short

Venci worktops and tabletops are made to measure in solid wood, veneer or stone. Edges, thickness and surface treatment are chosen to suit the use, and solid wood can be sanded and re-oiled when it shows wear.

The tabletop is what gets used the most and what you see first. That is why we choose the material, edge and thickness with care, and design it together with what it rests on.

Solid wood

Wood is warm to the touch, can be sanded back and develops a patina. We choose the species and construction to suit the use and the light in the room.

Veneer

Veneer gives a calm, continuous grain and a stable board. It is well suited where the table needs to be large and calm in expression.

Stone

Stone is heavy, cool and withstands heat and hard work. We help you choose the stone, finish and edge, so the worktop suits both the piece and the room.

Edges and thickness

The edge decides whether a worktop feels light or heavy. We design it in the thickness and profile that suit the table and you.

Questions and answers

How do I care for a solid wood tabletop?

Wipe it with a damp cloth and treat it with oil or soap as needed, typically a couple of times a year.

How thick should a tabletop be?

Typically 30 to 40 mm in solid wood, but we adapt the thickness to the size and expression of the table.

Can a scratched tabletop be repaired?

Yes. Solid wood can be sanded and re-treated so scratches and marks disappear.
