A Venci dining table is built in solid wood to the size of the room and the number of people who will gather around it. Top, edge, legs and finish are designed as a whole, so the table lasts for generations.
A dining table is the piece of furniture where the home comes together. We build dining tables for your room and your family, so the table has the right size and the right weight.
Size and space
We start with the room, how many people usually sit at the table and how many come by. Length, width and legroom are designed so everyone sits comfortably.
Tabletop and thickness
The top can be built in solid wood, veneer or stone. Edges, corners and thickness are designed to give the table the expression you want, from calm and slender to heavy and striking.
Legs and base
The base can be in wood or metal. We design it so the table stands steady and there is room for both chairs and legs.
Surface and care
The surface is chosen according to how the table will be used. We give you care instructions, so the table can be used every day for many years.
Questions and answers
How big should a dining table be?
Allow about 60 cm of table edge per person and a table width of at least 90 cm. We measure the room so there is also space to pull the chairs out.
Which wood species can I choose?
Oak, ash, walnut, cherry or other species as you wish. Each species has its own colour, grain and hardness.
Can the table be extended?
Yes. We can build leaves or an extension mechanism, so the table can become longer when guests arrive.
