Before industrialisation, all furniture was custom. The cabinetmakers' guilds of medieval Europe required seven years of apprenticeship before a craftsman could call himself a journeyman, and even more years before he could become a master. Every piece was designed for the house it would stand in, because there was no factory that could make it cheaper.<\/p>

That way of thinking almost disappeared with mass production. Standard sizes made furniture cheaper, but they also meant the room had to adapt to the furniture rather than the other way round. A crooked wall or a low ceiling suddenly became a problem it had never been before.<\/p>

At Venci we reverse that logic. We survey your room, not a standard, and design the solution to the dimensions that actually exist in your home, whether the wall is crooked or the room has an unusual shape. The millimetre is not a detail; it is the whole point.<\/p>

It is the same precision the old cabinetmakers' guilds demanded of their journeymen. We have simply exchanged the hand saw for modern tools.<\/p><\/div>\n
